The village of Irancy is located 15 km from Auxerre, in the hollow of a valley whose hillsides are covered with vines and cherry trees. Our clay-limestone soil is composed of clay, in which there are variable proportions of limestone. The total planted area of the Irancy vineyard is 200 hectares. The Irancy village appellation (AOC) thus extends over an area of 315 hectares with its neighboring communes Vincelottes and Cravant.
We cultivate our noble grape varieties, Pinot Noir and César (about 5 hectares in the Irancy appellation area).
